Volunteering at Rosie's Place - Working Together, Building Community

On Sunday we held our first Tikkun Olam event. We prepared and served “dinner” at 3:00 pm at Rosie’s Place. 8 women from Boston JWRP trips attended and each participant donated $25 to underwrite the cost of the food for the meal.

Catering groups make a $350 donation to underwrite food costs and then prepare and serve that meal to approximately 150 women in the dining room. Rosie's Place staff designs a menu, purchases needed ingredients and guides the group through the meal preparation. All we had to do was show up and the ingredients were waiting for us!
