My 2nd JWRP Trip, November, 2016

Updated: Nov 8, 2018

On November 6th 17 participants, two City leaders and one Madricha left for yet another incredible JWRP journey from Logan Airport. Having met for a variety of organized pre-trip meetings and two social get-togethers, this group of women felt like “Sistahs” before they even left American soil!

The ancient alleyways of Tsfat and a visit to the Mikvah (“Let it go, let it flow”) and the synagogues that keep that city so spiritual and mystical, helped foster the connection to the land of Israel for the 10 groups making up this latest JWRP trip.

This 10 day trip was a little longer than past Boston participant's trips. It included a second night in Tiberius and a full day in Tel Aviv which were enjoyable additions to the schedule, but once the group set down roots in Jerusalem, the magic really began.

Again, the Boston group stayed at the King Solomon (which has undergone some nice room upgrades).

The incredible Nili Couzins was our Trip Leader, with Adrianne Gold giving a number of amazing, inspirational lectures. Rabbi Yom Tov Glaser and his band provided the inspiring and uplifting Pre-Shabbat concert and on Shabbat morning “Rav Gav”, Rabbi Gavriel Friedman shared his entertaining take on Shabbat. Pamela Clayman shared her “Happiness” tips at one of our final talks.

Havdalah was celebrated with IDF soldiers on the Clayman’s rooftop, with a breathtaking view of the Kotel and the lights of the old City sparkling as Shabbat ended.

Won’t you always remember that moment in time?

Visits to Masada, the Dead Sea and Camel riding were thoroughly enjoyed.

This was another fantastic trip…
